I shall be present at the Hive as much as possible during the festival (more info on Artwave HERE ) demonstrating the art of the wood engraving from my sketch books to the Adana press (which you'd be welcome to have a go on). I'll also be showing my new Country Alphabet in Lewes for the first time (more about my alphabet HERE).
We shall all host a launch party on the first Friday (21st August)- it would be great to meet you if you can make it along. We'll be at the Hive 66 High Street which is a bit tricky to find, so you can find a map HERE the party starts at 6pm.
I've got an 'Introduction to Wood Engraving' evening class planned as part of Artwave too. More information HERE. Places are filling very fast for this year, so if you're interested in joining the class, don't delay.
Alongside the exhibition at the Hive, I've been invited by Lewes District Council to hold a 'meet the artist' at the Big Parks Project in Peacehaven on the 5th of September. I'm to give a guided talk about the my sculptures that where installed at the park in March this year (more info of the sculpture here). we shall then be a joined by a Conservation ranger and we'll set off for a guided walk and sketch together. So if you fancy a wander on the downs come and along and bring your sketch books! There will be more details unvield over the next few weeks - check back here, I'll post updates as soon as I hear them.
