2013 has been a good year for commissions for me- read on to find out how easy it is to commission your own unique engraving.
Wedding Invitations could be given a unique angle with a personalised engraving, not all of us will marry in a cathedral- but this engraving of Arundel's beautiful French Gothic Cathedral graced the cover of an order of service in May of this year.
And for the same wedding a commision of the Bride's parents house which adorned the menu for the wedding breakfast
So whether it is a treasured view of the Bride and Groom, the Church or the magical country house of the wedding I can produce a completlely unique engraving. The image could be further enhanced by embellishing the border with personal details, initials, family creasts- our imaginations are the only limit!
Engraving for personal stationary; these images record the recent work carried out for "Upper Lodge". The images will be used to promote the holiday cottages within the grounds of this magnficent house- also included in the is commisssion is a range of hand printed (thus original art in their own right) cards- which again will be used as personnel stationary, welcome gifts at the cottages and promotional mailings.
During the engraving process the customer was kept up to date with the progress the images above was one of the prepertory sketches shown to the customer to ensure she was happy with the direction I was taking.
As mentioned above Upper Lodge included 100 hand printed cards. However, I would be happy to "copy" the commissioned engraving and provide a digital image to forward onto your own printers, if that is what you prefer.
Wood engraving with it's heritage within book illustrations is an obvious choice for producing bespoke personnal book plates for the bibliofile in your life- any subject considered.
